My name is David Zephyrinus Friedeswind.

As a musician and craftsman, I combine my two greatest passions by building handcrafted flutes from native woods.

Friedeswind began as a personal project, born from my love of music and my desire to build my own instruments. What started with curiosity gradually grew into a workshop dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind flutes.

My very first flute was built from a simple spruce board using a PDF guide. I shared the process with friends and family, and soon afterwards received my first commissions.

I believe that every person carries a musician and an artist within.

With every instrument I create, my hope is to inspire people to rediscover their own creativity through music.

The moment I play a finished flute for the first time brings me deep satisfaction. Even more meaningful is knowing that it will become part of someone else's journey.

To this day, every new piece of wood, every commission and every story that finds its voice through music continues to inspire me.
